At Gum Creek Emus, we're proud to have over 20 acres of lush farmland. We use sustainable farming practices to ensure that our emus are healthy with plenty of room to roam and frolic.

What are your hours of operation?

Our farm is open to visitors from 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday, and 10am-4pm on weekends. Please let me know if you plan to visit. I am frequently out on the tractor or at the farmer's cooperative buying feed.

What do you feed your emus?

The emus get a high protein vegetarian feed blend.

Do you process the birds on your farm.

No. Since we sell our meat off farm and to re-sellers the FDA requires that our birds are processed at a USDA facility. The USDA has stringent standards for cleanliness and separation to prevent cross contamination. The facility is located in arkansas.

Do you ship?

we will only ship to Arkansas Addresses that UPS offers a next day service. Or 2 day to surrounding states. If you don’t receive a shipping option, reach out with your full address and we can provide you a quote.
we only ship Mon-Tuesday except on holidays. even So, some slight thawing can be expected. If you get your meat completely thawed, please contact us immediately.
in this summer heat, please arrange for your package to be taken in asap, not left out on hot porches.

Minimum quantities: As your freezer is more efficient when full, keeping meat frozen while shipping is easier if your meat has plenty of company.
